Process

How it works

01
Site check
For new installs, we visit to look at pipework routes, wall types, and recommend radiator size for the room. For replacements, we just need photos and dimensions.
02
Drain and remove
Drain the relevant section of the system, isolate it, and remove the old radiator. Patch any plaster damage from old fixings.
03
Mount and connect
Fix the new radiator to the wall (we use the right anchors for your wall type — masonry, dot-and-dab, stud), connect to pipework, fit fresh TRVs.
04
Refill and test
Refill the system, bleed all radiators, balance flow, then run the heating for 20 minutes to confirm heat output and check for leaks.
FAQs

Common questions

FAQ-01

What size radiator do I need?

Depends on room size, insulation, window count, and external walls. We size every install using BTU calculations — undersized radiators leave rooms cold, oversized ones waste gas.

FAQ-02

Can you fit a designer/vertical radiator?

Yes. They're slightly more involved (heavier, often need stronger fixings, taller pipework) but we do them regularly. Add £40-£60 to the standard price.

FAQ-03

Will you redecorate the wall behind?

We'll fill any holes from old fixings and leave it ready for paint. Full repainting isn't included — most customers either DIY it or arrange a decorator separately.

FAQ-04

Heated towel rail vs radiator?

Towel rails put out less heat (typically 600-1200 BTUs vs 4000+ for a panel radiator). Fine for small bathrooms, often supplemented with underfloor heating in larger ones. We'll advise honestly.
