How it works

01
Initial assessment
We talk through symptoms, when they started, and what you've tried already. Often customers have crucial clues without realising.
02
Pressure test the system
Isolate sections of the heating and water supply to identify which circuit is losing water. Narrows down the search significantly.
03
Thermal imaging
Our thermal camera shows where pipes are running and where water is escaping — visible through walls and floors without damage.
04
Acoustic detection
If the leak's still hidden, ground-listening equipment picks up the sound of water escaping under pressure. Pinpoints to within 30cm.
05
Fix or report
If accessible, we repair on the spot. If it requires lifting flooring or breaking out plaster, we quote the full repair clearly so you can decide next steps.
FAQs

Common questions

FAQ-01

What if you can't find the leak?

Very rare with modern equipment, but if so, we charge only £55 (half the standard fee) for the time spent. We'll give you our honest read on next steps — sometimes it's a job for a damp specialist or insurance forensic.

FAQ-02

Will my insurance cover this?

Trace and access cover (finding the leak) is included in most home insurance policies — typically £5,000-£10,000 worth. We give you full documentation to claim. The repair itself depends on your policy.

FAQ-03

Can you fix it the same day?

Often yes, if it's accessible. Pipework under sinks, behind toilets, or in airing cupboards is usually 1-2 hours. Pipework under solid floors or behind tiles needs a return visit and full quote.

FAQ-04

What about gas leaks?

If you smell gas, do not call us first. Leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 — they come free. We handle water leaks.
