Commercial electrical is a different game from domestic. Three-phase supplies, higher loads, dedicated emergency lighting, panel boards instead of consumer units, and deadlines that mean your business can't reopen until we're finished. We approach commercial work with the planning intensity it deserves.
Typical projects we handle: full fit-outs of new office or retail spaces (data cabling, lighting design, power layout, emergency lighting, fire alarm interface), refurbishments of existing premises, installation of three-phase machinery, EICRs for commercial buildings, ongoing maintenance contracts.
Every commercial job starts with a free site survey. We provide a detailed scope of works document and itemised fixed-price quote. Insurance to £5m public liability, NICEIC registered, fully aware of CDM regulations for larger projects.
How it works
Common questions
Can you work out-of-hours for retail/restaurants?
Yes — most commercial fit-outs we do happen evenings and weekends to avoid trading disruption. We're set up for night shifts. Standard premium for OOH work is built into the quote.
Do you do small commercial jobs (e.g., add a few sockets in a salon)?
Yes. We don't have a minimum project size. Small commercial jobs are quoted as per-visit + materials, similar to domestic.
Are you BAFE registered for fire alarm work?
We do interface with fire alarm systems but don't certify or commission new fire alarm systems ourselves — that requires BAFE registration. We work alongside specialist fire alarm contractors and coordinate with them on integrated installations.
Can you handle three-phase work?
Yes. Many commercial premises have three-phase supplies for kitchen equipment, machinery, HVAC, EV chargers. We're competent and certified for all three-phase domestic and commercial scope.
What about EICRs for commercial buildings?
Standard 5-yearly EICRs for commercial buildings are core work. Pricing scales with size — small office: £350-500. Restaurant/retail: £500-900. Larger or multi-floor: quote on assessment.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. Quarterly inspections, annual EICRs, priority callout for faults, ongoing PAT testing, emergency lighting tests. Contract pricing typically saves 30-40% vs. ad-hoc rates. We tailor to what each business needs.
